Dissertation formatting is at the discretion of your faculty so the library cannot advise you as each faculty may have differences in their preferred style.

You will need to go and see your dissertation supervisor to see how they want you to present your work. They may have copies of past dissertations for you to look at as an example.  You can also view help here at on the Study Skills Plus page about Formatting Your Work for Submission.

  1. The library ha provided an incorrect answer here. You need to check S.10 of the Student Research Regulation for formatting requirements, see here:. https://aru.ac.uk/-/media/Files/corporate-documents/research-degree-regulations.pdf?la=en&hash=4294808A2861A399DDD639A4060755B0
