If you want to use broadcast TV, we recommend that you explore the options available via Box of Broadcasts (BoB). BoB is a streaming service available via the BUFVC. Under the terms of the BoB licence you can show materials from TV channels, subject to the following terms:

recordings may not be copied or stored

clips can be used e.g. for teaching, presentations, or on the VLE

recordings made with BoB can only be shown in the UK
You can use services such as YouTube and Vimeo to embed or link to video content in the VLE. Please try to check that the content you are lining to has been uploaded with the content creator's permission - otherwise you may find that it is removed without warning from YouTube/Vimeo.
