For full instructions on "editing a citation" to please see section 6.4 of our guide to using Refworks under the "Creating a reference list" drop down menu.

If you click on section 6.4 in the menu at the top of the guide, it will take you to the Write-N-Cite instructions. Instructions on editing citations can be found in the tab titled: 'Editing a Citation'.

  1. I can't access the video tutorials on how to get started using RefWorks. I have less than six months to complete and submit my built environment dissertation and cannot access the RefWorks tutorials on this library website. I would now assume that Refworks is an unreliable software recommended to help us, students, to organize. Do any students here use Refworks at all? Can you please advise me as to whether it is worth spending some time to learn how to use it?

  2. Thank you for your comment above. Your Subject Librarian can offer 1-1 advice and support with RefWorks – meetings can be arranged using the Book-a-Librarian service. RefWorks is used by many students to store and organise references . Write-N-Cite can be used to produce in-text references and a linked reference list but there are other ways to do this too. Your Subject Librarian would be able to talk through any concerns that you may have surrounding referencing and RefWorks. You can find up-to-date information about Write-N-Cite on the RefWorks guide: https://anglia.libguides.com/Refworks/Write-N-Cite-and-New-RefWorks There is a linked YouTube video that gives an overview of Write N Cite functions on the ‘Video overview tab’ as well as some written guidance on editing your references to produce the correct in-text format. Please feel free to get in touch directly so we can support you further.
