A standard loan item is issued for 21 days and for 7 days if someone else is has requested the item and is waiting to borrow it.
All items (other than Interlibrary Loans) will be automatically renewed for up to 365 days, unless requested by another user.
If an item is requested you will receive a Recall email with a new due date.
