How do I download an e-book from the Library website?
Answer
You can usually choose to read our e-books online or download them for a short period of time. We often recommend reading a book online if you can as this gives you additional options such as copying and printing.
If you do want to download a book to read offline, the specific instructions for downloading will depend on the supplier of the book and the device you are using.
E-book download files cannot be read in some pdf viewers as they are encrypted by publishers to protect their content (Digital Rights Management). You may need to download Adobe Reader or Adobe Digital Editions and the BlueFire reader (for Apple and Android tablets and phones) before you can read a downloaded file.
Please follow the Help link on the book's supplier page for advice specific to the book you want to download.
